There are journeys that we take with a suitcase, and others that simply begin… in front of a door.
With "Opening to the World," our very first collection of photographs, we aimed to capture that suspended moment: the one where a door draws the eye, tells a story, and invites us to cross a threshold – real or imaginary.
An invitation to travel
Strolling through the alleys of Portugal or in the villages of the Southwest of France, we often found ourselves slowing down. The colorful facades, the details of wrought iron, the old stones marked by time… Each door seemed to be a reflection of those who live behind it.
Photographing these doors was like opening a silent dialogue with the places, a visual travel diary that we share with you today.
A collection for your home
This series, "Opening to the World," brings together a selection of photographs designed to allow you to travel without leaving your living room. Each shot is printed with care and then framed to become a true piece of decoration.
A Portuguese door with green azulejos hanging on the wall can bring a ray of sunshine into your daily life. An old door from the Southwest, on the other hand, evokes the authenticity and warmth of stone villages.
Why doors?
Because they are universal symbols:
- In passing: they mark the threshold between the intimate and the outside world.
- The mystery: one always wonders what is hidden behind it.
- Of escape: they are a promise of discovery, sometimes even an invitation to dream.
- Of love: they are symbols of renewal, a departure both in duo and solo.
A visual travel diary
Through this collection, I offer you another way to travel: to take the time to observe, to be surprised by the beauty of everyday life, and to integrate it into your home.
Each photograph becomes an open window to a story. And perhaps, who knows, yours.
